Real Madrid Star - Karim Benzema Speaks On Blackmail Scandal

In his words: "I'm not a criminal!"

Karim Benzema has finally spoken out on the blackmail scandal surrounding him and French teammate Mathieu Valbuena.

In an interview with TF1, Benzena denied any wrong-doing of any sort, and claimed he was unfairly being treated like a criminal.
 

Benzema told TF1 that:

"Sincerely, I am not guilty I’m being dragged through the mud and treated like a criminal.
 
What happened? It is simple. I have heard there is a video of him [Valbuena] and I have told him. I told him I could help him because I have a friend in Lyon who can manage these problems.
 
I told him that if he had told his family already, he could let this go. I told him I have experienced these sort of things in the past.
 
We never spoke about money. I earn a good living and when I help someone, I don’t expect anything back.
 
Valbuena thanked me the day I told him. What I do regret though, is this conversation with [my friend Karim]Zenati. I regret it because we laughed. I think it was understandable. It was spontaneous. I would have liked to be able to get in contact with Valbuena to apologise.
 
I don’t know the people that blackmailed him. The only one I know is Karim Zenati. He had his past and went to prison, but he started a new life since.
 
I don’t even understand why I have been in custody and why they dirtied my name when I was the one who wanted to be heard. I don’t understand".

We understand that everyone pleads guilty even when caught red-handed... How are we sure he isn't any different? Well we can't be the judge of that, he could actually be saying the truth.... Reporting live from NewTrendingNews™

Fashola is a conspirator in the threat to life of Igbos - Lagos PDP says, demands Oba's suspension

PDP in Lagos state says that the 48-hour silence of Governor Fashola since the Oba of Lagos made death threats to Igbos indicates that not only is Fashola in agreement with what the Oba said, but that the Oba spoke on behalf of the state government. In a statement released today, the party demanded for the suspension of the Oba until after the elections. The statement reads in part; "The governor is thus a conspirator in this threat to life and must also be held accountable for any violence in this elections. We have at this point been vindicated about the desperation of the APC to retain Lagos state at all cost including the All Progressives Congress’ plan not to concede the imminent defeat on April 11. The positions of the PDP are coming on the heels of the now viral threat issued by the Oba of Lagos to Igbos that they must vote for the APC Governorship Candidate, Akinwunmi Ambode, or be drowned in Lagos water."

Immigration Arrests Two Foreigners With PVCs In Plateau

The Nigeria Immigration Service in Plateau State said it has arrested non-Nigerians in possession of the Permanent Voter Cards. The NIS Comptroller in the state, Raymond Jaja, named the suspects as Nnekema Abu from Bukina-Faso, who was picked by immigration officials in Langtang South and Rubaila Ibrahim a Cameroonian, who claimed to be married to a Nigerian but displaced during the attacks in Borno. Mr. Jaja disclosed this Wednesday in Jos. The Comptroller stressed “The service has received information that foreigners were conniving with unscrupulous persons in producing security documents that would qualify them in participating in the elections. “They should know that foreigners are not eligible to participate in any electoral process in Nigeria. The attention of the service have gathered that some foreigners in Plateau possess Permanent Voters Cards and other critical national security documents”.
