Former Manchester United player, Gary Neville, Appointed as Valencia Head Coach
Former Manchester United player and current England
assistant coach, Gary Neville 40, has been named the head coach for the Spanish
team Valencia. Neville, will be joining his brother Phil who is currently serving
as the assistant coach of the Spanish club. The news comes as a shock to some
sport fans since this will be Neville’s first time in the head coach position.
The Valencia club is a major Spanish contester, which leaves fans to doubt their
new English manager.
The brothers have received mixed support. However, their
former club Manchester United has come out and showed their ex-players some
support.

The former right back has released a statement saying his absolutely thrilled to be given this opportunity. The president of the Valencia club, Layoon Chan, has also come out and shown support for their new head coach. In a statement, he mentioned that his delighted to have secured the English manager so fast.
Neville will not be acting coach when Valencia face Barcelona on Sunday. He will only be making his appearance when the Spanish club takes on Lyon in the UEFA Champions League on December 9th.
