Super Eagles of nigeria will be needing A Miracle To Qualify For the next African Cup of Nations. The hopes of Nigeria qualifying for the next African Cup of Nations morocco 2015 has received a major set back after their Sudanese counterpart playing at home humbled them 1 – 0 in Khartoum, Sudan.

Sudan scored the only goal of the game in the 42nd minute of first half when, Elagbir Babeker clinched unto a cross after he was left unmarked in the 18 yard box – he finished off beautifully with a well placed header leaving captain Vincent Enyeama no chance at all.

The result means the defending champions, Nigeria are with just a single point in group A after playing (3) three matches.

Coach Stephen Keshi and his boys will however be disappointed after tonight’s awful Performance against Sudan.

The Nigerian National team kicked off their campaign to the AFCON qualifiers as defending champions of the last edition.

The Super Eagles face a difficult or rather impossible task to secure a qualification ticket as they remain bottom of the group.

The Nigeria Immigration Service in Plateau State said it has arrested non-Nigerians in possession of the Permanent Voter Cards. The NIS Comptroller in the state, Raymond Jaja, named the suspects as Nnekema Abu from Bukina-Faso, who was picked by immigration officials in Langtang South and Rubaila Ibrahim a Cameroonian, who claimed to be married to a Nigerian but displaced during the attacks in Borno. Mr. Jaja disclosed this Wednesday in Jos. The Comptroller stressed “The service has received information that foreigners were conniving with unscrupulous persons in producing security documents that would qualify them in participating in the elections. “They should know that foreigners are not eligible to participate in any electoral process in Nigeria. The attention of the service have gathered that some foreigners in Plateau possess Permanent Voters Cards and other critical national security documents”.

We Won’t Conduct Anymore Rivers Rerun Election Without Guaranteed Security, INEC Vows

  The Independent National Electoral Commission has announced that it would conduct fresh elections in areas where voting was disrupted in the violence-marred Rivers States polls of March 19. However, the electoral body said in a statement Friday that it would never return for the fresh polls until there is an assurance of security and safety. INEC said it would not endanger the lives of its personnel, journalists and observers and others involved in the exercise.“
